Amber's current project is Newground, a bluegrass band where she plays upright bass, vocal lead and harmonies.

The Newground band allows her to "soak in" sounds of Del McCoury, Alison Krauss, Vassar Clements, Rhonda Vincent, John Hartford, Peter Rowan, Tony Rice, Larry Sparks, Bill Monroe, Hank Williams and many, many more.
